After Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas got released, Cre’Von LeBlanc happens to be the next cut. Leblanc signed a contract extension last year to keep him through this season. This is a bit of surprise after the Eagles released Jones and Douglas yesterday. Now, you have to wonder what corners they even have left besides Darius Slay. The Eagles have a ton of safeties on the roster who might be able to play corner but it could be a risk. They could just be hoping LeBlanc clears waivers to re-sign him.
As of right now, the Eagles corners are Darius Slay, Craig James, Nickell Robey-Coleman, and Avonte Maddox. I would have to imagine some sort of a move will be made soon, as the Eagles play their first game literally one week from today.
