Eagles Sign Tight End Richard Rodgers

The Philadelphia Eagles have filled the last hole in the 53 man roster as week one is just a few days away. Tight end Richard Rodgers has re-signed with the Eagles after being released due to injury last year.

Rodgers was released by the Redskins earlier this week, and it didn’t take long for the Eagles to sign him back. He is a solid addition to a talented tight end group. He mainly will be used as a blocking tight end and maybe some special teams.

After being with the Eagles the past two seasons, Rodgers has familiarity with the Eagles offense, and shouldn’t take too much time to be ready for this Sunday.
