Zach Ertz frustrated with contract talks

Zach Ertz on contract situation:
“I’m an emotional guy when it comes to football. . . . It’s been frustrating at times, it’s been difficult,” Ertz said, via Zach Berman of TheAthletic.com. “I said all along I want be here for the long run. I don’t know if for sure that feeling is mutual. I’m going to play this year like it’s my last year.”
The Zach Ertz contract extension conversation is a very controversial one. There is certainly an argument for both sides in this situation. In today’s video I make an argument for both sides.
The side arguing to trade Ertz, their main argument is that his age is a concern. On top of the fact that the Eagles have another young potential star tight-end in the making on the roster already; Dallas Goedert.
However, I truly feel like the Eagles would be making a big mistake not extending Carson’s favorite target. Ertz is arguably the most popular and fan favorite player in the city of Philadelphia. I’m not sure it’s a good look parting ways with such a valuable player; even at his age.
For my cap space guys, “give me a break”. Pay Zach Ertz. That is all.
