Bryce Harper is back, Phillies win 12-6.

Bryce Harper snapped a 1-for-10 slump last night with a home run and double. He reached base 5 times and let the Philadelphia Phillies to a 12-6 win over the Miami Marlins.
Didi Gregorius gave the Phillies an early lead in the first with a grand slam. Gregorius drove a slider from Miami starter Jose Urena over the wall in right field for his 7th home run of the season.
Harper increased Philadelphia’s advantage to 5-0 with a leadoff shot in the third. Everyone knows Bryce has been struggling as of late. We also knew it wouldn’t last forever. We are in the final stretch of the season and we need Bryce Harper. It was great to see him come alive last night.
Kyle Garlick dded a bases clearing double in the top of the 8th to seal the game and give the Phillies a much needed 12-6 win.
After losing game one of the seven game series against the Marlins at the hands of their bullpen, the Phillies jumped back with a complete game shutout from Aaron Nola to take game two.
Andrew McCutchen drove in three runs with three hits, including his sixth homer. Rhys Hoskins hit a three-run homer, his 10th. Adam Haseley doubled twice, singled and drove in two runs.
In game three, the second of the double header, the Phillies were without a starting pitcher due to a freak injury to Zack Wheelers finger while putting on pants. Ranger Suarez (0-1), the third of five Philadelphia pitchers, allowed three runs while getting just one out.
The series is now split 2-2 with 3 games still left to play. The Phillies are 23-20. They are 2.5 games out of 1st place in the NL East and 1.5 games ahead of the Marlins in 2nd place.
The Phillies will have another double header today and will see Sixto Sanchez, the top pitching prospect they gave up to sign JT Realmuto, in game one. Phillies’ are expected to send Eflin to the mound and Velasquez for game two.
Other Notes:
Spencer Howard left the game yesterday with right shoulder tightness. JT Realmuto also left late in the game with hip tightness. Hoskins shook off a hand injury at 1st base and seems to be okay.
It would be great to see the Phillies come out and destroy Sixto today while the Eagles beat the Washington Football Team.
Ring that bell, baby.
