Report: Lane Johnson OUT, rookie Jack Driscoll IN

Today’s inactives have been reported, and the Eagles are going to be without right tackle Lane Johnson. The Eagles are now currently down three starting offensive linemen. More bad news for the Eagles is that they are facing one of the best defensive lines in the NFL. The Washington Football team isn’t very good but their one area of talent is the defensive line. All eyes will be on the debut of the second overall pick Chase Young, who might have a field day against this depleted Eagles offensive line.
With Lane Johnson out, the question now becomes “who replaces him?”. Well, it looks like the Eagles are going with rookie Jack Driscoll to replace him. It’s a big day for Driscoll who has a chance to impress and show that he can fill in when needed this season. The rookie tackle has impressed this offseason and is being cross-trained at guard.
It was also reported today that undrafted guard Nate Herbig will make the start at right guard. Herbig is entering his second year and has impressed the Eagles thus far.
The Eagles starting offensive line heading into today’s game looks like this:
LT: Jason Peters
LG: Issac Seumalo
C: Jason Kelce
RG: Nate Herbig
RT: Jack Driscoll
