Report: Eagles Interested in Allen Robinson

As contract issues continue for wide receiver Allen Robinson and the Chicago Bears, it looks like he may be traded and the Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested.
Robinson is currently in the final year of his three year, $42 million deal. With this comes the problem of how the Eagles can afford him as they are already tight on cap space. Robinson fits a huge need for the Eagles with Alshon Jeffery out. The 27 year old is the possession type of receiver the Eagles are lacking and would be a great fit next to rookie Jalen Reagor for years to come. Robinson would also be playing with the best quarterback so far in his career with Carson Wentz. The Eagles have a recent trade history with the Bears from last offseason in a deal for Jordan Howard.
What would be the asking price?
No one knows at the moment what the Bears are asking for, but the Eagles do have some options. The first one that comes to mind is Pro Bowl tight end, Zach Ertz. The Bears are in need of a tight end and Dallas Goedert looks ready to take the next step in his career. I highly doubt this would happen, but I wouldn’t rule it out. A mid-round pick might even get the job done. We’ve seen Eagles GM Howie Roseman steal Jordan Howard last year for only a sixth-round pick. If the Bears want a receiver in return the Eagles could cut their losses on JJ Arcega-Whiteside, who may need a fresh start somewhere else. Alshon Jeffery is also another option, however, I don’t know how he would feel about going back to Chicago.
This situation is definitely something to keep an eye on as more news will come out regarding Allen Robinson’s time in Chicago in the coming weeks.
