Two Key Eagles Players Close to Returning

Two key players on the Eagles offense are getting close to returning. With the division looking like the Eagles’ to lose, this is huge in helping their chances.
Jalen Reagor
The first-round pick has recovered faster than expected from a UCL tear in his thumb. He apparently looks great in practice and his thumb feels good. Reagor will need to be cleared by a doctor by Thursday in order for him to play Sunday night against the Cowboys.
In his first two games before getting hurt, Reagor looked good. He caught five passes for 96 yards. Reagor will provide the Eagles offense with a deep threat and a playmaker anywhere on the field.
Dallas Goedert
The Eagles have also activated the 21-day practice window for tight end Dallas Goedert who has been sidelined with an ankle injury.
In the start of his third year in the NFL, Goedert was making a name for himself as one of the best tight ends in the league. In just three games, Goedert caught 13 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles are clearly lacking a red zone threat, and this is one area where he excels. I would expect Goedert not to return until after the bye week, considering his injury. The Eagles can beat Dallas without him, they shouldn’t risk re-injuring Goedert when they have a bye week next week.
