Elliot Desnoyers Continues His Red-Hot Start with another Four Goal Game

Elliot Desnoyers and the Halifax Mooseheads took on the Charlottetown Islanders in an entertaining 5-4 game. Desnoyers absolutely took over this game, scoring four out of the five goals for the Mooseheads; he now has 10 goals, 7 assists, for total of 17 points in 11 games. That’s half of his point total last year (35) in 1/6 of the time.

This is shaping up to be an outstanding fifth-round draft selection from Chuck Fletcher, Desnoyers really seems to be coming into his own on the Halifax Mooseheads and is excelling in a leadership role. The Mooseheads are a relatively young squad, so Elliot is one of the leaders on the team; wearing the “A” on his chest and he is the first-line center. He also got into a fight sticking up for his teammate after a questionable Charlottetown hit, gotta love it.

I’ve said this on the latest episode of The Liberty Yell and I’ll say it again, there’s a lot of late round picks that fizzle out after being selected so to see the way Desnoyers is progressing kind of feels like house money at this point; a bonus.

Take a look at his performance:

Greasy goal in the crease just 22 seconds into the game, he seems to be always hovering around there.

Another goal from hovering in that high percentage area, beautiful redirection goal for the 2-0 lead.

Then he scores this absolute beauty to tie the game for the Mooseheads and to capture the hat-trick.

No video on this one yet but I’m sure it is soon to come, it was a rebound tip-in in the crease with 35 seconds to go to win the hockey game. Electric goal.

Keep an eye on this kid.
