Looking outside my window this morning it seems a perfect, shitty day for a perfectly shitty team. After last week I promised myself that I would stop letting my fandom trick me from seeing what the Eagles truly are.

The truth is that Carson Wentz has lost his locker room. The Eagles are decimated by injuries and just lost their true leader in Lane Johnson for the season. When you are 3-6-1 in a terrible division, there is no hiding the stench radiating from this team.

The Seahawks are a playoff team, who when playing well can compete with anyone in the league. The Eagles will have to play their best game of the season to win tonight.

I just don’t see it happening. Let’s all agree to throw an asterisk on the 2020 campaign, pretend everyone got Covid and start focusing on Ben Simmons jump shots.

I’ve picked the Eagles every week since we started Best Bets and at this point we have very little to show for it. The Eagles are now 28th in DVOA according to Football Outsides while the Seahawks are 6th and are getting some key players back including running back Chris Carson. I don’t see how the Eagles can score enough points to get the win. They are so offensively inept, it hurts my head to comprehend that the Eagles may be worse than the Chicago Bears.

DK Metcalf -139 to score a Touchdown

DK Metcalf dunking on the Eagles is the most inevitable outcome for this evenings game. Apparently Metcalf keeps a list with all the wide receivers who were drafted before him in 2019. One of those guys, JJ Arcega-Whiteside will spend tonight on his couch thinking about his two receptions this season.

Tyler Lockett -115 to score a Touchdown

Tyler Lockett is a better version of Golden Tate, with a much better quarterback throwing him the ball. He is the exact type of receiver who kills the Eagles and will surely be scampering into the end zone tonight.

Carson Wentz under 249.5 yards passing

There is nothing that could implore me to bet on Carson Wentz doing anything successful. This number should be 179 yards.
