Flyers extend Phil Myers Contract for 3 Years

Going into today, we knew talks between Philippe Myers and the Flyers front office had heated up and were closing in on an extension, and now it seems the deal is completed.
There was a lot of talk throughout Flyers nation on what kind of deal Myers would receive, we wondered if it would be a bridge deal or a long-term lockup.
Flyers announced a contract extension of three-years, 2.55 million AAV for the restricted free-agent defensemen… a very solid bridge deal.

This locks up a very fun improving young defensemen while giving the Flyers that little bit of cap flexibility they need to make minor transactions throughout the season. It also seems like this will be the last domino to fall on the Flyers list of offseason plans for the time being.
Get us to January 13th.
THREE. MORE. YEARS.
