Playoff Picture: Updated look at how the Eagles can win the NFC East

With yesterday’s loss to Arizona, the Eagles fell to 4-9-1 and are now last place in the division. Thankfully for the Eagles, Washington fell to Seattle yesterday, so they still remain 1.5 games behind for the lead in the NFC East:

With 2 games remaining in the season, the Eagles will need some help if they hope to face off against Washington in a Week 17 win-and-in matchup:

Eagles need to win final 2 games against Dallas & Washington

Washington needs to lose final 2 games to Carolina & Philadelphia

Giants need to lose one of last 2 games to Baltimore or Dallas

According to FiveThirtyEight.com, the Eagles currently have a 9% chance to make the postseason.

Philadelphia holds the #7 pick in the NFL draft as it stands, so winning the NFC East at 6-9-1 would sacrifice the chance to potentially draft a franchise-altering player. But if Howie Roseman remains in charge after the season, I doubt he would make good use of a top-10 draft pick anyway.
