Flyers prospects have a day vs Czech Republic

Cam York and Bobby Brink both combined for a total of 5 points in today’s game vs the Czech Republic, continuing their very solid play throughout the tournament. Both are showcasing to the whole world what they’re all about.
Cam York
After collecting three points in three games (1G-2A), York registered another three assists today, logging a team high 22:38 minutes and finishing the game a +3. Here he picks up an assist late in the third period on the power-play.
Adding to an already solid World Junior as the first time captain, York looks to make history with his next 4 (potentially) games. It’s quite nice to watch York make the jump to captain after not playing much last year due to older talent in-front of him and being injured a little. We knew he had the talent to play on the top defensive pairings, now he’s just showing it putting up 1G-5A-6P in 3 games. Impressive stuff from the 2019 14th-overall pick.
Bobby Brink
It wasn’t the craziest thing to say it’s only a matter of time before Brink broke out. If you watched any of USA’s first two games you would’ve notice #24 on the ice doing everything but light the lamp.
That changed today.
Brink makes this play entirely by himself. He first has the puck deep in the zone, he cycles up towards the point, notices his teammate coming off the bench, lays it off for him and heads straight for the net for the eventual tap-in. It’s shown better here.
Brink doesn’t care that he’s 5’8, he’s shown time and time again he’s willing to go into the dirty areas. A nose for the net that gets him his second goal of the period.
This time Brink tries to feed the man in the slot from below the dot but gets deflected out to the point. Brink then glides to the net, positions himself so that the defenseman is on the back of his hip and puts his stick down right in-front of the goal. All Matthew Beniers (2021 eligible) has to do is slide the puck over to an open Brink’s blade.
Brink received player of the game for Team USA and finally breaks through and puts a couple goals in. Brink currently has 2G-1A-3P in 3 games and looks to add to that Thursday vs Sweden.
