Best Bets: Eagles vs Washington Professional Football Team

Happy New Year Philadelphia!
I am guessing I am not the first person who has reminded you that 2020 was a pretty dismal year. I know I was told no less than 300 times over the past two weeks how I was supposed to feel about the YEAR OF COVID! 2020 was also the year the Eagles rewarded us with the most hideous looking record in recent history. There is nothing pretty about 4-10-1.
But a new year brings new hope! Hope that things will be better in the times ahead. A new year is also a good moment to pause and remind ourselves of the good things in our lives; Past and present. Go ahead and watch the condensed version of any of the Eagles playoff games from the 2017 Super Bowl run. Just a few short years ago we were on top of the world! Memories were made that will last generations and eventually become the stuff of legends.
There was something magic in the air that winter. A feeling not easily obtained and seemingly always just out of our reach. Some seasons more than others. This season it was further away than most.
When you are sitting on your couch this evening watching the flaming pile of garbage we call the Eagles. Remember the good times and all the people you shared that magic with in year’s past. Without the tough times and the struggle, reaching the top wouldn’t be so sweet.
My prediction and best bets are below
Final Score
Eagles 23-Redskins 21
Eagles +6.5
This line is moving in the Redskins direction and I am not sure why. This is destined be a low scoring affair as is common of divisional games in the Linc. I think the Eagles looked worse than they really are on the road last week in Dallas. Take the Birds.
Arizona Cardinals ML
I am one of the few humans that has had the honor of watching Ram’s Week 17 starter John Wolford play quarterback. Over the years I have been involved in more high-stakes Wake Forest games than I would like to admit. I will always remember Wolford as the MVP of the 2017 Belk Bowl. Good times…
But I would’t bet on Wolford besting Kyler Murray. Even if he is a little banged up and hasn’t looked 100% for months. This is the biggest game of Murray’s life and I think he does enough to get it past the ailing Rams.
Green Bay -4.5
The Packers are playing for the #1 seed in the NFC.
How do the Bears score more than 21 points? Take the Pack.
Jalen Reagor over 34.5 Receiving yards
Like I detailed last week Jalen Hurts and Reagor have a nice connection forming. The Redskins defense is incredibly strong up front and will make Hurts get rid of the ball quickly. The best guy for quick passes in the Eagles offense is Reagor.
Fly Eagles Fly.
