Morgan Frost and Phil Myers injury updates

It’s been a long 2 days since that last Buffalo game where forward Morgan Frost and defenseman, Phil Myers both left the game with injuries. Today we learned more about each injury and the expected amount of time both players will miss.
Morgan Frost
Making the team as the 13th forward after having a great camp, Frost was primed to take this big chance with Couturier being out for the foreseeable future and run with it. Frost had a solid first game vs Buffalo and continued that solid play into the 2nd game. He didn’t find the scoresheet, but he looked good. Set up Konecny on his very first shift and showed off his elite hands and hockey IQ. A real shame he never was able to get going before suffering this devastating injury.
Here’s the play that injured Frost, who’s out indefinitely with a separated left shoulder.
Phil Myers
After signing a 3-year extension in the offseason, a lot of people including myself, thought Phil Myers was going to be the guy to help try and fill the void that is Matt Niskanen deciding to retire early. Instead, it seems the Flyers have tried every defenseman on the starting roster there except Myers. Sanhiem was with Provy in the 2nd game vs Buffalo on Tuesday.
Myers left the at the end of the 1st period, after going for a routine hockey hit along the boards.
Myers’ injury is considered “week to week” with a fractured rib.
Flyers play Boston today at 7:00pm in Boston. The depth on this team is something we’ve praised now and before the season. It’s getting tested very early into the season.
