Lakers vs Sixers set to take the national stage tonight in Philadelphia

Tonight marks the biggest game of the season for the Philadelphia 76ers as they welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to Philadelphia. The Lakers are 14-4 on the season and sit atop of the Western Conference. The Sixers are 12-6 on the season and sit atop of the Eastern Conference.
The Lakers enter tonight with the a perfect 10-0 record no the road. As we all know, they are led by none other than LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Sixers when healthy, have proven to be one of the best teams in the NBA and remain undefeated with their full starting lineup.
LeBron and company are coming off a 115-108 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers. James scored 46 points and Davis added 17 points and 10 rebounds. Montrezl Harrell added 15 points off the bench and the Lakers defense smothered the Cavaliers and caused 17 turnovers that led to 15 points and a dismal 31% percent shooting from three point range.
The last time these two teams faced each other was almost a year ago to date. The Sixers were without Joel Embiid, and Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons led the way with 29 points and 28 points. The Sixers will definitely need similar efforts from both players tonight, in addition to another MVP performance by Joel Embiid to keep up with the powerhouse Lakers of the Western Conference.
Tonight, the Lakers will be playing their fourth away game over the last seven days and the 76ers, as we know, are a tough team to beat on the road. Joel Embiid should be well rested after missing Monday night’s game in Detroit. In recent history, the Sixers typically show up to big games and perform well. Games that stand out immediately would be Bucks on Christmas, the Lakers mid-January, and the Clippers mid-February last year.
You can get great value betting the Sixers tonight. The money line currently sits at +130 and the spread is the Sixres +3.5. There’s absolutely no reason to not bet the Sixers tonight given the fact that the Lakers have played so much over the past week and the 76ers are healthy and 9-1 at home this season.
