Sixers finish road trip with a win over the Hornets 118-111

The score makes this look a lot closer than it was. The 76ers won their fourth straight game tonight with a 118-111 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Philadelphia has now won their last 14 straight games against the Charlotte Hornets.

Joel and company came out hot, finishing the first quarter with a score of 30-13, with Embiid out scoring the entire Hornets team. Embiid finished the night with a dominant 34 points and 11 rebounds on 11/18 shooting. Teams continue to foul Joel having no other answer to stop him. Embiid had ten free throw attempts tonight, making nine of them.

Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris shined also. Harris was second in scoring for the 76ers with 26 points on over 50% shooting. Ben Simmons continued to attack the rim aggressively, having 15 points on 12 attempts. Danny Green helped from deep, making four of his seven attempts.

Since returning from COVID-19, Seth Curry has been struggling to find his groove. Tonight, Curry had zero points and shot only three times despite playing 29 minutes. This was Curryโ€™s third game since returning, where he didnโ€™t make a single three in a game.

For Charlotte, rookie Lamelo Ball had an exciting game scoring 22 points with seven rebounds and three assists. The Sixers will head back home to face the Trail Blazers tomorrow night before facing the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.
