Ben Simmons Shows The World Why He’s The Best Defender on the Planet: Sixers vs Mavs Reaction
Last night, the Sixers shutdown the Mavericks offensively and walked away with a 111-97 victory. Outside of Charles Barkley absolutely butchering Furkan Korkmaz’s name, the biggest takeaway was the 76ers defense and more specifically, Ben Simmons. Simmons set the tone defensively to say the least, limited Luka Doncic to under 20 points.
Seth Curry had all the motivation in the world facing his former team. Curry shot 6/9 from the field, and 3/3 from deep, scoring 15 points. He may have had his best defensive game of his career too. Curry recorded 3 steals and a block. I’d like to think he fed off Simmons’ tenacious effort on the defensive end.
