The Eagles finally catch a break, will face the Jets in extra regular season game.

The NFL announced that they will move to a 17-game regular season schedule with three preseason games. The NFL’s CBA, which was ratified in March of last year, allowed the league to expand the regular-season schedule for the first time since 1978.
The additional game would be against an inter-conference opponent. The game will feature teams from opposing conferences that finished in the corresponding place within their division last year.
For the Philadelphia Eagles, the extra game means they will face the New York Jets.
For a team in the midst of a rebuild, the Eagles really couldn’t have asked for a better opponent in the added game. The Jets were 2-14 last year and the Eagles have never lost to the Jets in a regular season game.
The Giants will face the Dolphins. The Cowboys will face the Patriots. The Washington Football Team will face the Bills.
For an Eagles team that can’t seem to get anything to fall in their favor as of late, we can consider this a small victory during a less than stellar offseason.
