Sixers clear roster spot, waive forward Ignas Brazdeikis

Ahead of the NBA buyout deadline, the Sixers have cleared a roster space by waiving forward Ignas Brazdeikis, according to Shams Charania. This waiving brings the Sixers roster down to 14 players and clears the a spot to bring in a new signing.
Brazdeikis was traded to Philadelphia during the NBA trade deadline from the New York Knicks in a three-team deal that landed George Hill. During his tenure with the Sixers, Ignas appeared in just one game for eight minutes in a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The NBA’s buyout deadline is tomorrow, April 9th, and the 76ers still have a large chunk of their mid-level exception available. Likely buyouts include targets include forward Otto Porter and Rockets guard Avery Bradley. Hopefully, the Sixers can take advantage of their cap space and add the final pieces to their roster before starting the NBA playoffs next month.
