Phillies-Mets Postponed; Weekend Series at Home against Cardinals

There will be no Phillies baseball today. The scheduled noon game against the New York Mets has been postponed due to rain. The Phillies will avoid Jacob deGrom which is definitely a good thing, as they continue to work out of an offensive slump over the past week.

While that is good news, the Phillies playing another doubleheader already sounds terrible. There will be two seven inning games on Friday, June 25th, starting at 4:10pm.

With the postponement, the Phillies will now have a much needed day off and look ahead to a weekend series at home against the St. Louis Cardinals. Zach Eflin, Matt Moore, and Aaron Nola will be the pitchers for the Phillies. The Cardinals are 6-6 and in 3rd place in the NL Central. They just wrapped up a series against the Washington Nationals in which they lost 2-of-3 games.

Back with more later. Enjoy the day off.
