Flyers host the Capitals looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since March

The Philadelphia Flyers will play the Washington Capitals today looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since March 27th. Today also marks the second straight weekend that the Flyers have played back-to-back home games. Last weekend, they split those two games.

They lead the NHL in goals scored per-game on the road at 3.50 and are tied for second most road wins in the entire NHL with 14. The Flyers have lost the last four games to the Capitals this season and Alex Ovechkin has out skated the Flyers in every game. He has nine points in five games (6g-3a) against the Flyers this season. For the Flyers, Sean Couturier has seven points (3g-4a) this year and will need to keep his five-game point streak against the Caps going today if the Flyers stand a chance.
Carter Hart will miss today’s game with a lower body injury. No word yet on the severity of the injury. Brian Elliot will get the start in net for the Flyers.
