Phillies fans get a surprise call from Bryce Harper during ESPN interview

Although it wasn’t the greatest road trip for the Phillies last week in Atlanta, there was a shining moment for Phillies fans thanks to Josh and James Scott. During the game, James got a fly ball in the stands and gave it to a Braves fan. That prompted both Freddie Freeman and Bryce Harper to sign a baseball and Freeman delivered the ball the next game to Josh and his dad.
What was missing, was a visit from Bryce Harper. ESPN ran a “Feel Good Friday” segment with Josh and his Dad and Bryce Harper himself joined the zoom interview to say thanks and offer some words of encouragement for the 14 year old Josh, who plays second base and right field.
ESPN and Bryce extended an invite to travel up north to Philadelphia when COVID protocols clear to take batting practice and have a catch before the Phillies game this season.
Feel good stories are always good, especially when the Phillies are not.
