Justin Jefferson talks about Eagles passing on him at 21

It has been over a year, and the Minnesota Vikings and Justin Jefferson still won’t shut up about the Philadelphia Eagles. Jefferson spoke with GQ Magazine and talked a lot about the Eagles for some reason. Philly took Jalen Reagor one pick ahead of the LSU receiver during the 2020 NFL Draft. While Reagor had a problematic season, Jefferson flourished with the Vikings.
“A lot of people had me going to Philly. And, I thought I was going to Philly, honestly. The funny part is, Philly was on the board, and then Minnesota called me. At first, I thought it was Philly, but I answered the phone, and it was Minnesota. It’s crazy how all of that happened and everything, but I’m definitely, definitely, definitely excited that I’m on the Vikings rather than Philly.”
If that was it, that’s whatever. Still, Jefferson continued to go on discussing his disdain for the City of Brotherly Love. Later on during the interview, when talking about his mentality during games, Jefferson had this to say,
“Philly will definitely be edgier. You know, especially because they passed on me.”
We get it; Philadelphia didn’t take you. Now, this isn’t some Draymond Green memorizing every pick before him because he fell to the second-round scenario we’re talking about here. This was a one-pick slide in the late first round. Hopefully, Jalen Reagor bounces back after a rough rookie season, and we can put this entire discussion to bed in the future.
