Joel Embiid interview with Shams: “There’s no doubt I’m MVP”

Before last night’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Joel Embiid sat down with Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Process once again reiterated the fact that he fully believes he’s the MVP of the NBA this season.
In 41 games this season, Embiid is averaging 30.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game on 51.3 percent shooting from the floor. He’s also shooting 37.5 percent from three point range. From the foul line he’s shooting 85.1 percent. Embiid has guided the Sixers to the top of the Eastern Conference standings this season. After last night’s loss to the Bucks, the 76ers are now tied with the Brooklyn Nets in first place in the East.
Embiid, rarely lacking confidence, is making his case for the MVP Award this season. He and the Sixers will need to finish the regular season strong and make a run in the playoffs to secure the honors.
The Sixers have the day off today before taking the court again in Milwaukee tomorrow afternoon.
