Phillies Travel to St. Louis to Take on the Cardinals in a Four Game Series

The Phillies look to bounce back tonight against the Cardinals after a brutal loss in Colorado on Sunday. Zach Wheeler will get the ball today for the Phils, with Adam Wainwright on the bump for St. Louis. The Phils open up at -1.5 favorites for tonight’s opening game, according to FanDuel SportsBook.
Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins will look to stay hot, after a fantastic series from the plate. The two tallied 5 total home runs in three games vs the Rockies, while batting in eight RBIs as well. Bryce is now up to .338, with 6 HRs, 10 RBIs, and an OPS of 1.132. He’s doing MVP things at the plate, and also flashing the leather in right field as well. Rhys is also having a great start to his season, hitting .250 at the plate, with 6 HRs, 12 RBIs, and an OPS of .832. Having your two and three hitters being hot are such an important piece for your team, and the Phillies have just that.
Zach Wheeler looks to continue his good start to the season tonight. Wheeler is sitting at 1-2 on the season, with a 3.80 ERA, with 26Ks and a 1.31 WHIP. Although the stats might not scream “dominant”, he’s everything he’s needed to be for this team this season, and more. Consistent, good to great pitching is all you can really ask from your number two arm, and that’s what he’s giving you through his first four starts.
The Phils will look to bounce back today on the road, as the team is 4-16 in their last twenty road games. The road struggles have been insanely concerning, with bad pitching and inconsistent hitting being the center point. The team needs a spark, and they need to light that spark tonight, with Wheeler on the bump to start out the series.
