Phillies make Roster Moves as Roman Quinn heads to Injury List

As expected, the Philadelphia Phillies have made a few roster moves after Roman Quinn got hit on the right hand with a 90 mph cutter while trying to bunt and had to leave the game. He needed nine stitches to close the cut on his index finger.

Both Quinn and Matt Joyce (calf) will head to the 10-day injured list and both Scott Kingery and Mickey Moniak will head back to the Phillies roster.

Scott Kingery returned to Triple-A last night and sat in the dugout for over three hours during Lehigh Valleyโ€™s season debut last night. He finally entered the game as a part of a double switch in the top of the 11th inning. Kingery delivered a game-winning, two-run triple to left-center field with two outs to give the IronPigs against the Rochester Red Wings.

Freddy Peralta (3-0, 2.25 ERA) will get the start for Milwaukee against Chase Anderson (1-3, 5.40) tonight. Anderson was 38-27 with a 3.83 ERA in four seasons with the Brewers from 2016-19. Bryce Harper is out of the lineup, still dealing with a sore wrist.
