Dwight Howard hoping to return to 76ers next season

Over this season, Dwight Howard has quickly become a fan favorite in Philadelphia. The veteran big signed a one-year contract with the Sixers for the veterans minimum this offseason and became a massive boost to Philly’s bench. Howard has been without a doubt the best backup Joel Embiid has had in his career, and many want to see him around next season, and Dwight looks to be in agreeance.
Last night Howard posted on his Instagram and replied in the comments to a fan who stated they hoped the Sixers re-signed Dwight in free agency. Here is what he had to say,
“Would be a dream come true.”
Bringing back Dwight is a must for the 76ers this offseason with how much he brings both on and off the court for Philly. Both Ben and Joel look up to him, and he always is the biggest hype man during Frosty Freeze-Outs or big plays. When he is playing, Dwight is grabbing nearly nine rebounds in just 17 minutes per game. Howard will be turning 36 at the start of next season, but he has shown age hasn’t affected his game much at all. The 76ers will have numerous key players to retain, including Danny Green and Furkan Korkmaz.
