Third Times the Charm: The Sixers Look to Clinch the #1 Seed at Home vs the Orlando Magic

The Sixers look to snap their two game losing streak and clinch the number one seed tonight vs the Magic. The magic number has been sitting at one for a few days now, with the team dropping their last two road games. Although it would’ve been nice to already clinch the top seed, the Sixers want to clinch it at home in front of their fans, and for that, I can’t be mad.
The Orlando Magic are sitting at 21-49, the second worst record in the Eastern Conference. The team has already been eliminated from playoff contention, have lost five in a row, and have around half of their starting lineup out. The Sixers need to go out and blow the doors off of this team tonight, clinch it at home, and rest their starters in the last game.
If all things go according to plan, the Sixers should be rolling out the same players that they did last night. The only healthy Sixer that will be watching from the sideline is Dwight Howard, who got his 16th technical of the season, which leads to a one game suspension. There is no word on Matisse Thybulle and his status for tonight, but there is no reason to rush him back up against a depleted Magic team.
The Sixers take on the Orlando Magic tonight at 8:00 EST. With the Magic playing half their bench and guys I’ve never heard of, the Sixers should have no problem going out and getting the job done. The team looks to clinch the one seed in Philadelphia tonight for the first time since the 2000-2001 season.
