DeVonta Smith working out with Colts linebacker this offseason

DeVonta Smith has been getting the work in. Earlier today, Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard spoke to the media and was asked about his offseason workouts. Leonard’s workouts are not exclusive to just Colts players, though. The Eagles 10th overall draft pick has been joining Darius during his 5 A.M. workouts consistently to improve his game. The two share a trainer down in Tampa which led to them getting closer.
Seeing Smith getting that work in is always encouraging and exciting to see, especially against a dominant player like Darius Leonard. The Colts LB mentioned how DeVonta has the same high motor that he does, and they like to make each other better. Even though it has only been a few weeks, Smith has been very impressive already for the Eagles. During the rookie minicamp this weekend, DeVonta looked great in individual drills, and head coach Nick Sirianni raved about his all-around talent.
