New PFF rankings: where does Jalen Hurts sit among the 32 QBs?

Presumed Eagles starting QB Jalen Hurts has a big season ahead of him in 2021. The team moved on from Carson Wentz, drafted one of Hurts’ Alabama weapons in WR DeVonta Smith, and retooled the offense to cater to his skill set. Hurts showed a lot of promise towards the end of last season but also showed some facets of his game that need improvement.
For those that put stock into Pro Football Focus, they recently released their 2021 QB rankings and have Hurts ranked near the bottom of the league:
31. JALEN HURTS, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
“Jalen Hurts will get his opportunity to showcase not only his skills but his leadership heading into 2021. Hurts provided an immediate spark last season, but the wheels started to fall off after that. Hurts must manage the game with better decision-making. He finished the season with nine turnover-worthy plays in the last four games. If Hurts wants to be the guy in Philadelphia, then he needs to protect the ball better. His leadership and poise will bring the team together, but production — and winning football games — must follow.“
In Hurts’ final four games as a starter, he threw for 919 yards, 5 TDs, and 3 INTs at 52% completion. Whether his low completion percentage was a result of his own shortcomings or a broken offense remains to be seen. When necessary, Hurts was electric with his legs, rushing for 272 yards and 3 TDs in those starts.
The Eagles have had a productive offseason, providing Jalen Hurts with ample opportunity to prove the doubters wrong next season.
