Report: Eagles acquire CB Josiah Scott from Jacksonville

The Eagles have traded CB Jameson Houston and a 2023 6th-round to the Jaguars in exchange for CB Josiah Scott, per Adam Schefter.

Scott was a 4th-round pick in last year’s draft and had 11 tackles in 80 snaps last season. At just 22 years old, he’ll be added to the depth chart to compete with Avonte Maddox, Craig James, and rookie CB Zech McPhearson. Scott comes in at 5’9″ and ran a 4.42 40-time.

Scott was a playmaker in college, having 6 INTs and 22 pass breakups in his three seasons at Michigan State. Drawing comparisons to standout corner JC Jackson out of the draft, the Eagles will hope that Jonathan Gannon can develop Scott into a starting-caliber defender.
