76ers, Redbull doubling the stakes for the playoffs on Matisse Thybulle Campaign that already raised over $26,000 for charity

Yesterday the 76ers, Matisse Thybulle, and Red Bull announced that for every steal Matisse grabs during the 2021 NBA playoffs, Red Bull will donate $500 to Philly’s Parks & Recreation department. The donations will go towards rebuilding basketball courts across the city. During the regular season, they donated $250 for every steal Thybulle had during a 72 game span, which raised $26,000 for Philadelphia Parks and Recreation.
Alongside the steals, artist Glossblack is selling copies of the mural he painted of Matisse Thybulle that is located in Fishtown, on the side of the always popular Garage Bar. 100% of the proceeds from the prints will go towards the Parks and Rec donations as well.Â
Thybulle had a dominant end to the 2021 season generating buzz as a possible Defensive Player of the Year candidate. In just 20 minutes per game, Matisse was averaging nearly two steals in dominant fashion. The 76ers will begin their playoff journey Sunday, facing the winner of the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards in the first round.
