Ben Simmons Silences The Haters. Embiid Has a Better Offensive Game Than Shaq

What a beautiful day in the Delaware Valley. The Sixers have taken a 2-0 series lead against the Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2021 Playoffs and you would think that sports talk radio has nothing to complain about. Well actually, I guess the Westbrook incident with the fan and a box of popcorn, which will certainly get attention but that’s besides the point. Ben Simmons went out last night and simply bullied everyone in his way.
Ben Simmons 2021 Playoffs Stats (2 Games)
- 14.0 Points Per Game
- 11.5 Assists Per Game
- 12.0 Rebounds Per Game
- 58.3FG%
Doing all this while making life a complete hell for Westbrook and Beal. Ben has now recorded two really different stat lines in the first two games of this series. Both resulted in wins for the Sixers. Which is really the only thing that matters as we move on to game three against the Wizards in D.C. on Saturday.
Joel Embiid is also putting on quite the show in the early goings of the playoffs. Last night was a “quiet” night for Embiid, which resulted in 22 points on 8/12 shooting and 3/4 from 3, all while only playing 26 minutes. And please, enjoy the local broadcasts in the first round of the playoffs. The reason being is so that we don’t have to hear the idiotic things Shaquille O’Neal has to say. Such as this:
Wonder where Shaq was when Embiid was 3/4 from three in a playoff win. Actually no I don’t. His opinions don’t matter to me. Shaq will probably remain the most dominant center in NBA history. But Embiid is certainly making a tremendous case for that himself. Embiid is one of the most gifted and versatile centers we have ever seen. He put that on display last night.
