76ers look to sweep the Washington Wizards tonight in D.C.

One more game is all the 76ers need. The Sixers return to Capital One Arena tonight in hopes of sweeping the Washington Wizards in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Philly has dominated every game this series, most recently with a 132-103 win on Saturday night. If things go to plan, the 76ers should have a nice break to rest up before starting the conference semifinals. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 on TNT or NBC Sports Philadelphia.
The key to tonight’s game will once again be the 76ers’ defense. Over the entire series, the Wizards have not been able to get things going on offense. Through three games, the Wizards are an embarrassing 23% from beyond the arc and shot 8/35 during game three. Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle have been locking all windows and doors for the Sixers and will be a pivotal piece of their future success.
There’s not much else to say about this game. The Wizards haven’t been a challenge for the Sixers in the slightest. No matter what is thrown at Philly, there is nothing that can slow them down. Joel, Ben, and Tobias have all been incredible and have been shooting lights out against Washington.
Following this series, it looks likely that the 76ers will be facing the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Currently, Atlanta is destroying the New York Knicks and hold a 3-1 lead with a chance to finish the series Wednesday. If this series somehow goes to five games, the Wells Fargo Center will be at full capacity for game five or game one of the semifinals.
