76ers Game 5 victory broke streaming and rating records

Nearly the entire city of Philadelphia tuned in to watch the 76ers eliminate the Washington Wizards last night. According to the team, game give was the highest-rated 76ers game on NBC Sports Philadelphia since 2002 and was the top program in primetime television last night. At its peak, the rating was 11.8, which is over 300,000 televisions.
On top of the high TV rating, last night was the first Sixers game at full capacity this season, and the crowd’s energy was through the roof. The 76ers had 45,000 viewers on their live stream of the game alongside the television and in-person numbers, which was another record for the station.
Philly is ecstatic for the Sixers’ ongoing title pursuit and the fans were a crucial piece in finishing the series off in five games. For NBC Sports, they finish this season with a bang as the remainder of the 76ers games this season will only be on national television. Ben Simmons and company return to action Sunday afternoon hosting the Atlanta Hawks for game one of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals at 1:00 on ABC.
