Flyers ink Rubtsov and Sandin to a one year, two-way Deal

While the talk of the town has been about Seth Jones and Dougie Hamilton, Chuck Fletcher went to work yesterday extending a couple young players in Linus Sandin and German Rubtsov. Both of these players received the exact same two-way contract; clocking in at 1-year with a cap hit of $750,000.

In regards to German Rubtsov, I get the sense this is his last chance to climb up the depth chart and have a chance to impress the Philadelphia Flyers. Rubtsov played his 2020-21 season on a loan with the KHL club HK Sochi. Over the span of 46 games, Rubstov posted three goals and eight assists for a total of eleven points. I would expect him to spend some time back with the Phantoms again this coming season.
For Linus Sandin on the other hand, I feel like this is perfect. Another chance to prove yourself on North American ice and at a NHL training camp. The Flyers really seem to like Sandin, letting him slot in the Phantoms lineup last season after spending some time over at the SHL. This is the ultimate low-risk signing, not saying he will be the next Farabee or anything but this is clearly someone the Flyers like and want in their pipeline.
Bring me a partner for Provorov.
