Former Eagles WR looking to make return at a new position

The ex-side chick of the Eagles has his eyes set on a new position. Per ESPN’s Turron Davenport, Jordan Matthews has bulked up and is hoping to make the transition to tight end:

The former second-round pick has bounced around the league since being traded from Philadelphia to Buffalo in 2017. Matthews has had multiple stints with the Eagles, being called upon whenever the team’s receiving corps was depleted due to injury — which happened far too often.

Current Louisville WR coach Gunter Brewer worked with Matthews in Philadelphia during the 2018 season, where he caught 20 passes for 300 yards and 2 TDs for the Eagles. Always a willing run-blocker and still at just 28-years-old, Matthews could garner some interest from some teams who need depth at tight end. If Tim Tebow can get a tryout at a new position, one has to think that a once productive receiver should get a crack as well.

Eliot Shorr-Parks is smiling somewhere.
