Phillies Roster Moves and Today’s Lineup vs the Nationals

The Philadelphia Phillies lost a tough one last night against the Washington Nationals 3-2. At the end of the night, the Mets still sit in first place at 37-31 and lead the rest of the NL East by four games. The Nationals have won eight of their last nine games and the Braves are now 35-37. Both teams are now tied with The Phillies at 34-36. Vincent Velasquez will attempt to right the ship today at 1:05pm. The Phillies will then have the day off tomorrow before playing four games against the Mets, starting with a double header on Friday.Â
PHILLIES ROSTER MOVES
The Phillies just announced that Matt Moore will be reinstated from the 10-Day Injured List. In a corresponding move, Nick Maton will continue to ride the seesaw between the majors and minors and be sent back down to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The Phillies will roll with a similar lineup today at 1:05pm. The only change from last night, will come in left field. Travis Jankowski will get the start over Andrew McCutchen. The Phillies need more offense outside of Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper. Harper and Hoskins were a combined 4-for-9 last night with two RBI. Hoskins doubled as well and now has four home runs, eight RBI, and seven hits over his last seven games.
