Joel Embiid leaves agency ahead of potential 4-year supermax

Earlier today, news dropped that I’m sure everyone will react calmly to. Joel Embiid has parted ways with his former agency, Creative Arts Agency, or CAA. Embiid was a client for Leon Rose, who has since left to become the President of Basketball Operations for the New York Knicks. Embiid was part of CAA since the start of his rookie year and will be a “free agent” for the first time in his career.
According to sources close to the situation, Embiid has decided to remain on his own and will not be in the market to work with another agent. Also looming is a potential four-year supermax on the horizon for the MVP candidate.
Hopefully, fans will react calmly to this situation and not overreact. Joel Embiid had a dominant season and helped the 76ers the best he could despite playing on a partially torn meniscus. Additional changes could be on the way for Philadelphia despite reports they are committed to Ben Simmons.
