A 2020 Epcot sign resurfaced online with NFL Stadium Food Favorites….?

After doing my daily routine of slamming a pot of coffee and looking for things to write about on a Monday morning, I came across an interesting post on Reddit. Yes, Reddit, I’m writing a post on something that was posted on the r/eagles subreddit. If this article makes it on there and isn’t removed by one of your Dictator Mods, I promise you, it will be okay.
The picture surfaced from the 2020 Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. “Flavors from Fire” is hosted by The NFL on ESPN, which features each NFL team and a special food selection that is apparently supposed to highlight the “NFL Stadium Food Favorites” from around the league.

Of course, like most things that ESPN and the Mickey Mouse Corporation do, they messed up yet again. Given the fact that the picture is from 2020 and not this year raises even more questions that I initially thought. It most likely went unnoticed at the time due to a little thing called COVID-19 and Disney being shut down for a good part of 2020.
The Eagles have “Slim Chicken” as their food favorite at Epcot, which makes zero sense to me. One, if this picture is from 2020 and that’s not a reference to DeVonta Smith and his nickname as the “Slim Reaper” that I literally have no idea where it came from. Either Disney predicted that the Eagles would land The Slim Reaper, which would be the first mock draft that actually got something right, or it’s completely out of touch with what’s actually ordered at Eagles games.
To make things even worse, for whatever reason, the Dallas Cowboys have a cheesesteak option. I have no idea what a cheesesteak hand pie is but after a quick Google search, it appears to be a Stromboli. Apparently it’s a staple at Dallas games? These morons call this a cheesesteak hand pie? Give me a break.

Those were definitely two that stuck out as being completely weird and out of touch. For Epcot, do yourself a favor and just go Drink Around the World. A drink in every country. I’ll see you in Mexico for a margarita if you make it that far. I’ll be in Epcot at the end of the month and will report back with any additional news on this riveting story. Cheers.
