The Phillies will have a special guest joining them on Saturday night when they face off against the Atlanta Braves. According to a team announcement, Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey will be throwing out the first pitch for the Phillies. Maxey just wrapped up a very promising first season with the Sixers and has continued to put in the work this offseason.

Several 76ers in years past have thrown out the first pitch for the Phillies. Some of those Sixers include Ben Simmons, Allen Iverson, Markelle Fultz, and numerous others. Currently, the Phillies are just starting their second half of the season and are in the middle of a three-game series against the New York Yankees.

For Maxey, there is a lot of excitement brewing around the 20-year-old guard and his future with the 76ers. Although he has been discussed often in trade packages for Damian Lillard, many hope they can bring in the Blazers star without moving Tyrese Maxey.
