Bryce Harper to get X-rays following last night’s injury

During last night’s loss to the New York Yankees, Bryce Harper suffered another injury after a foul ball hit off his ankle in the eighth inning. While Harper remained in the game, he clearly was in pain and now will undergo some X-Rays to make sure everything is fine. Bryce has suffered numerous injuries to his wrist and back this season and has had a nice stretch recently with ten RBIs in his last 13 games.
There is a lot of hope amongst the Phillies that the injury isn’t serious. Joe Girardi said that Harper would’ve hit again if he came up in the order, but the Phillies never got that far. Bryce was in right field for the first game against the Yankees but moved to DH last night.
While the Phillies wait for news on Bryce Harper, they return to action tonight, kicking off a four-game series at home against the Atlanta Braves. It isn’t known yet if Bryce will be playing tonight against the Braves or if he will miss any time. Philadelphia is just 3.5 games behind the Mets for first in the NL East, so every game is crucial going forward.
