76ers expected to be a top suitor for Kyle Lowry

After failing to get a deal done back at the NBA Trade Deadline, Kyle Lowry could make his way to the 76ers this offseason. Shams Charania reported that the 76ers are expected to be one of the top suitors for Lowry in free agency. Alongside Philadelphia, the Lakers, Mavericks, Pelicans, and Heat are also interested.

Earlier this offseason, Marc Stein reported that the 76ers would need to include one of Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, or draft capital in a sign & trade for the veteran point guard. After this postseason, Philly is in need of a true starting-caliber point guard, and Lowry would be the perfect fit. At 35-years-old, Lowry averaged 17 points and seven assists last season for Toronto.

For a deal to happen financially, the Sixers would need to include George Hill in any trade to bring Lowry to Philadelphia. Daryl Morey has been aggressive this offseason in trying to bring in an elite guard to pair alongside Joel Embiid. While Damian Lillard might not be available, Bradley Beal is potentially requesting a trade from the Washington Wizards.
