Phillies starting lineup and roster moves ahead of game 3 vs the Nationals

The Phillies look to win their fourth game in a row tonight at 7:00, taking on the Nationals in game three of a four game series. The Phillies won game one 7-5, and took game two last night 5-4, thanks to a combined four home runs from the team.
The roster moves ahead of tonight’s game were nothing crazy, with no true injuries or COVID issues to note at the moment. Rafael Marchan has been optioned back down to Triple A, with Damon Jones being recalled up to the big leagues.
Chase Anderson will take the mound for the team tonight. Anderson is 2-4 on the season, with a 6.75 ERA in 44 innings pitched. He’s struck out 34 batters, and has posted a WHIP of 1.52. With new additions to the starting rotation, hopefully Anderson won’t be back in the five for long. But with Zach Eflin still on the IL, we could be seeing a few more Anderson starts until Eflin is ready to join the team again.
The Phillies’ starting lineup tonight:
For tonight, Jankowski will play centerfield, Herrera will play left, with Andrew McCutchen still on the injured list. Andrew Knapp will catch, giving JT a night off, and Anderson will be on the bump to start the game for Philadelphia.
The team looks to gain some more ground on the New York Mets tonight, after pulling the NL East to within 1.5 games last night with a win and a Mets loss. Game 3 of a 4 game series tonight from Washington DC, with the hopes of keeping the hot streak going and securing a series win.
Three in a row, the Phillies are hot. Bet on the Phillies, again. (I will not be held responsible for any betting losses with Chase Anderson on the mound).
