Seranthony Dominguez rehabbing in Reading this week

Help is on the way for the Philadelphia Phillies’ bullpen in the coming weeks. Seranthony Dominguez has been officially added to the Reading Fightin Phils’ roster for rehab assignment. Dominguez is recovering from Tommy John surgery which he underwent back in July of 2020. During his previous outings while recovering, Seranthony’s fastball has reportedly already reached 95 MPH.
“We’re happy because we’re seeing him bounce back after each outing and not having any physical issues, which is great.” – Joe Girardi.
Last week, Seranthony pitched for the Jersey Shore BlueClaws and tossed a 1-2-3 inning. He struck out the first two batters before getting a groundout to end the first inning. Keep your fingers crossed that Dominguez won’t suffer any setbacks, so we can expect him to rejoin the Phillies in late August / early September.
Even though the Phils bolstered their bullpen during the trade deadline, you can never have enough arms, and Seranthony Dominguez would immediately be one of their go-to guys in late innings. Tonight for the Phillies, they face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers with Andrew McCutchen and others rejoining the team.
