Are the Eagles moving on from Andre Dillard?

Not much has gone Andre Dillard’s way during training camp. After an abysmal start in practice, Dillard suffered a knee sprain and missed the Eagles’ first two preseason games. In his absence, Jordan Mailata has pulled far ahead in the battle for left tackle, with Dillard now fighting for a roster spot instead of the starting job.
According to Jeff McLane, numerous teams have called the Eagles to inquire about the former first-round pick. It makes a lot of sense to move on from Andre Dillard if the price is reasonable. Jeff Stoutland has done all he can to develop him, and Mailata looks to be the guy of the future. Also, there’s no need to have a backup making as much money as Dillard.
The price isn’t likely too high to get Philly to move on from Andre Dillard. If I were to guess, it would likely be around a fourth-round pick. Teams are going to view Dillard as a low-risk, high-reward project, and there’s a chance he could thrive in a new environment. Meanwhile, for the Eagles, there are likely to be several cuts over the next week as they trim down their roster to 53 players.
