FOX 29 hosts trash Ben Simmons with hilarious video

Despite Joel Embiid’s pleas to the city of Philadelphia, the media continues to be relentless towards disgruntled star Ben Simmons. Yesterday on FOX 29’s morning show, the hosts were presented with live footage of Ben Simmons escaping Philadelphia.

Let’s take a look:

If you’re unable to watch, it’s not Ben but a dumpster being carried away by the floods from Wednesday’s storm. Looking around on Twitter, a lot of people are up in arms about this, claiming it’s in poor taste and precisely what Joel Embiid said not to do. In my opinion, that mindset is flat-out hilarious. 

These garbage can memes have been around for over a decade, and they never get old. Either way, what’s the worst Ben could do if he saw this video? Demand a trade? It’s a morning show and a hilarious combination of local current events. The people complaining are probably the same ones saying Meek Mill doesn’t donate enough to the city of Philadelphia.

For Ben Simmons, there is no news on the trade market with the list of interested teams shortening by the day. A deal is likely to get done before training camp based on Ben’s demands, but it’ll be interesting to see how long this plays out.
