Carson Wentz Trade Tracker: 30% Complete after Week 5

I honestly don’t even like writing about Carson Wentz but when the Eagles have an opportunity to get three first round picks next year and one of them, relies on Wentz snap count in Indianapolis, we have to fulfill our civic duty of providing week by week updates in regards to his offensive snaps in 2021.

The 2022 second round pick from the Colts can turn into a first round pick if one of two things happens this year:
- Carson Wentz plays 75% of the Colts offensive snaps
- Carson Wentz plays 70% of the Colts offensive snaps and the team makes the playoffs.
The Colts are off to a rough start this year. Everyone was mad at Wentz for not taking the vaccine. He then missed time in training camp because he came in contact with someone with COVID. From there, he was injured, but ultimately avoided surgery. He then sprained not one, but both of his ankles.
However, Wentz has continued to play, which is great news for the Eagles. Last night, Wentz played great against the Baltimore Ravens, but the Colts blew a 19-point lead and lost in overtime.
Carson Wentz snaps week by week:
- Week 1: 76/76 (100%)
- Week 2: 62/67 (93%)
- Week 3: 61/61 (100%)
- Week 4: 71/71 (100%)
- Week 5: 67/67 (100%)
- Season: 337/342 (99%)
Thanks to @WentzSnaps on Twitter, they have kept everyone updated.
All we need is Wentz to stay healthy and the Colts to remain competitive and we should be good to go. 5 weeks in, things are looking solid.
