Delaware Blue Coats name Prosper Karangwa as franchise’s next general manager

The Delaware Blue Coats are promoting from within. This morning, the team announced that Prosper Karangwa would be the franchise’s next general manager. Former GM Matt Lilly was let go a few months back alongside several others in a massive front office overhaul. Before this promotion, Karangwa was Delaware’s Vice President of Player Personnel and will still hold that title.
Before his front office role, Karangwa played overseas for several seasons before retiring in 2010. Prosper Karangwa held a scout role with the Orlando Magic after his playing days before being hired by Elton Brand in 2020.
Alongside this recent move, the Blue Coats have a new coaching staff that includes Coby Karl, son of former NBA coach George Karl. Delaware kicks off their season in just a few weeks on November 6th against the Long Island Nets. Meanwhile, the 76ers host the Brooklyn Nets tonight for their home opener.
