Daryl Morey expected to wait until December 15th to explore Ben Simmons trade

If comments from Daryl Morey himself weren’t enough to convince you, more reports have surfaced that a Ben Simmons trade won’t occur anytime soon. According to Marc Stein, league sources have indicated that Morey is likely to wait until after December 15th for a Ben Simmons deal.
Any free agent signed this offseason is available to be traded after that date which opens up the trade market more. Daryl Morey himself said the other day on 97.5 that he was willing to wait four years for the right trade and would only move Simmons for a difference-maker. This report doesn’t tell us anything new but reaffirms the point that nothing is going to be rushed in this saga.
Simmons talked with the entire team yesterday morning, and the relationship looks to be on the mend. The 76ers are back in action tomorrow against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Simmons is out once again as he continues to get himself ready to return to play.
